About:
The Scary Scamper is a Halloween-themed 5K race and 1-mile fun run in beautiful (and spooky) downtown Florence. With plenty of treats, and maybe even some tricks along the way, the race will include medals and prizes for the top three male and female finishers, as well as prizes for best costumes! The Florence Ghostbusters will be on hand with their Ecto-1 to keep the spirits at bay!
Pre-registration includes a t-shirt. T-shirts will be available for raceday registration as well, but in limited quantities. All proceeds benefit the Sheffield Cross-Country program and go directly to uniforms, race fees, and travel expenses.
Location:
Both races will start and finish at the intersection of N. Walnut St. and E. Mobile St.
Schedule:
6:00 PM start time for 5K race
7:00 PM 1-mile fun run
8:00 awards and costume contest
Registration:
5K fee is $35
Fun-run fee is $25
Includes t-shirt and race bib
Awards will be given to the top-3 male and female finishers, as well as participants with the 3 best costumes. Costume contest will be judged by The Florence Ghostbusters.
